Dr. Audrey Evans - noted cancer researcher, founder of the Ronald McDonald Houses, and co-founder of the St. James School, died Sep
30 /22 at age 97.
It was a privilege to illustrate her story.
#WomenInScience #humanitarian #ChildrensBooks
Audrey Evans was a perfect child. Not No one would have expected that when she grew up, she would make an important medical
discovery, found the Ronald McDonald Houses, and start a school.
Kirkus Reviews calls this "an intimate and rewarding biography of a remarkable doctor" which "repeatedly encourages young readers to
believe that they too can accomplish more than they might expect."
I am very happy and proud to be the illustrator of the book “Audrey Evans: Not Your Ordinary Doctor”. It is written by Heidi Bright Butler ,
and published by Bright Pages Publishing.
This is a biography of Dr. Audrey Evans, a paediatrician who has been called a medical pioneer for discoveries that improve treatment for children with a form of cancer called neuroblastoma. She is also credited with making hospitals less frightening for children and
coming up with the idea for Ronald McDonald houses, that provide families with an affordable place to stay when their children are hospitalized. After retirement, she co-founded a faith-based middle school in inner city Philadelphia. The book includes entertaining
stories about her childhood as well as information about her medical career and hobbies.

"Vaccines Explained will reach a wide audience from pre K to middle school age students. Facts are clearly stated and well explained. The illustrations are vibrant and accurately follow the text. ... the book is well written and an excellent way to explain vaccines to young children."
Rose Puleo R.N., School Nurse

"Vaccines Explained is a richly-illustrated and thoughtfully written book, ideal for explaining the concept of vaccines and germs for preschoolers through the early elementary grades. The book gives parents and teachers many opportunities for conversations about how vaccines work against a variety of germs, and why vaccines are nothing to fear. The illustrations give plenty of opportunities to discuss what doctors, pharmacists, and scientists do, and how vaccines have helped people of all ages, all over the world. I recommend this timely book as an inspiration for family and classroom conversations."

Here's another story finished recently and now its available in Amazon: 'Tales of Hope' inspires children to learn and understand human values. Children love stories. A lot of emotional intelligence is developed in children through informal modes of education. The book aims at inspiring curiosity. Curiosity for people, places and wonderful things around us. Curiosity leads to wonder and awareness of the magical natural phenomenon around us. Curiosity ignites creativity. Creativity stimulates mental and emotional growth.

Author: Damon Müller
Illustrator: Joyeeta Neogi
Publishing Date: August 2019
Price: 6,99 £
‘Why Are Some Animals Less Popular?’ is the second book
with Dixibooks.... animal series where we enjoy the surprises of the animal kingdom with our children. It’s captivating, intriguing and more importantly, full of surprises. Why? Because we are so sick and tired of listening to the same old animal stories for years. It is a huge world! There are so many animals that live on the land, in the air, and in water.

Hello to you All !
A new year is a time for exciting new starts!!!
So 2018 was a bit of a crazy busy year for me. It was a great year for me as an Artist and a children’a book Illustrator, with many exciting opportunities.
Last year I worked on several children’s book illustrations and had a wonderful experience participating in many watercolor art exhibitions. I am so excited that my watercolor work “My garden blooms” got selected for the “Peaceful Golden Heritage 2019” International watercolor art festival in  Myanmar (courtesy IWS  Myanmar). I am super excited about traveling to the beautiful country at end of this month.
I am sharing here some of my watercolors works!!!

This year my goals are to travel, learn, practice new skills and keep being open to new possibilities and opportunities. It’s always a good idea to look beyond normal responsibilities to diversify, explore new skills and never stop learning.
I am the New Year……. your next chance at the art of living….. your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months……all that you sought and didn’t find, waiting for you to search it but with more determination…….All that you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all that you hoped but did not get, all the faith that you claimed but did not have—these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.

I haven't written anything in here for soooo long as  preoccupied with various freelance projects. Thank you all for hanging around waiting patiently for someone to return to this page and updates!!! So here's just a quick blog post to share a little with you about what has been happening!

Well, I had a great time working with different clients on lots of books together. I had a chance working  on three books based on African American characters recently. I find it very interesting to work on a diverse group of characters with rich, varied backgrounds. Today kids have a much larger selection of children's books to choose from with brown characters of all shades for them to identify with. Sharing here few illustrations based on African American characters.

Hello everyone!
I hope this post finds you all well!
Last week was quite a busy with few completed books before my short refereshing Mumbai trip.
Here's a glance at some of my illustrations from two book completed recently for Anna Digilio.
It was a simple book project and I worked with different styles altogether.

A fresh start on a new picture book .
My favorite thing about my job as a children’s book designer and illustrator is, starting to illustrate a new picture book. It’s the fresh beginning of a 2-3 month relationship with new characters that I get to bring to visual life with my pencil/tablet. It’s the excitement and the joy of transforming an author’s manuscript into a colorful picture book.

Today is my first day starting to illustrate a new picture book for an author I have not worked with before. I will read the story several times to get a feel for the mood of the book and to get to know the characters. Once I form clear visual images of the characters in my mind, I can start to put my ideas on paper. I share these early sketches with the author to see if I have captured the personality of their characters.
So doing character illustrations today.... a really very interesting character...will share soon on my next post.Stay tuned! :-)

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a lovely day ahead!

Hi!
long time no see, been busy with all the stuff, drawing, projects, art exhibitions and watercolors!!!
Here are a couple of finished spreads some of my recent  custom story books.
This book is personalized picture book meant to be use about a daughter/son to prepare her/him for her/his new sister's/brother's arrival. Basically about a happy family with a new addition soon.
It was fun working on these three stories.

Well.... excited about this year 2018!!! Lots of art exhibitions. Met many new artist friends, new inspirations and creativity. I feel we are responsible for our own happiness. It’s our own responsibility to make sure that our life is worth living. It’s our responsibility to take care of our happiness. So Friends ...celebrate the small things, count your blessings, stay positive and do something outrageous for yourself!
But being happy doesn’t come from the things we achieve or how far we’ve come.
It comes from being present and enjoying the journey. I am enjoying my journey so far :-)
Lots of creations on the way...!!!! Stay tuned!!

Have a lovely day everyone!

Review by a buyer in Amazon: A fun story with delightful illustrations. As a teacher, I particularly liked the emphasis on discovery, and the children’s use of trial and error to find answers through their research - all presented in a very accessible way. Any opportunity to show children the importance of persistence is always welcome!

Anna loved to tinker and make new things out of old toys she found at yard sales, but what did her tinkering have to do with a science fair project? Full of Beauty is an enchanting story that teaches young children where true beauty comes from and where it can be found. It follows a baby girl all the way until her wedding day and chronicles her journey to understanding what true beauty is, and where it comes from. Full of Beauty gently and delightfully explains to young children how inner beauty is not decided upon by others, but by themselves. The glorious illustration and touching story will make this a lifetime favorite for both children and adults.
